OJSC “Novaya Perevozochnaya Kompaniya” gave books to kids with impaired eyesight

Giving a tribute to good traditions, OJSC “Novaya Perevozochnaya Kompaniya” continues cooperating with charity foundation “Illustrated books for young blind kids”. Within the framework of this cooperation NPK has been helping to find the addressees of the books published within the framework of charity program “Book as a gift” – children with impaired eyesight.

Thus, this autumn NPK again delivered large lots of development books to specialized pre-school institutions and boarding schools in different regions of the country (Yekaterinburg, Kemerovo, Novosibirsk, Chelyabinsk etc.). 25 November in the kindergarten of combination type #1205 of the city of Moscow was held a children’s festival “Hello, Book!” where books were presented to the children who, in their turn, showed a wonderful concert to the guests.

Special color illustrated relief books allow kids with impaired eyesight seeing the beauty of illustrations, feel the contour of the image, make the education process exciting and foster interest to reading at an earlier age, help develop residual vision and expand the opportunities of adaptation in normal life. Books also help children make sure that there are lots of people in the world who care.

Charity foundation “Illustrated books for young blind kids” was created in 1994 for the purpose of implementation of the project of Worldwide Decade of Culture Development of UNO and UNESCO within the framework of the program “Book as a gift”. The press runs of books published by the foundation for children with impaired eyesight increase by the year.
