NFC, JSC - the Best Operator of 2015 in the rating of Russian Railways, OJSC

On November 10, the 13th "Transportation Services Market: Interaction and Partnership" International Conference took place at Radisson Slavyanskaya Hotel, Moscow.

Annually, about 600 delegates participate in the event, including representatives from national regulators and Russian Railways, OJSC, operators of railway vehicles and cargo owners, as well as independent experts and scientists. The conference discusses technological issues of railway-based carriage organization and algorithms of interaction between a railway carrier, an operator and a customer of transportation services.

Globaltrans Group was represented at the conference by Valery Shpakov, Acting Director General, Alexander Shenets, Chief Financial Officer, Vyacheslav Stanislavsky, First Deputy Director General of New Forwarding Company, JSC, and other top managers.

Discussions of the conference took place in an open and candid manner. They touched on key improvements in the market of railway-based carriage and analyzed their implications for all participants of carriage process.

Vyacheslav Stanislavsky took part in the discussion "From the perspective of a cargo owner: How have the indicators of system quality changed over the last year?" In his speech, he touched on a number of key issues concerning the development of the industry. In particular, he noted an observable tendency to a change in market conditions towards an increase in demand for open box cars in railway transport. In Vyacheslav Stanislavsky's opinion, this allows counting on gradual achievement of the balance of supply and demand in the market of open box car operations and on establishment of a healthy competition level with stakes that would enable reasonable cooperation between operators and cargo shippers.

The main working time of the conference was divided into sections covering a wide range of topical issues for discussion. This year in particular, the attention was paid to such topics as production and repair of cars, tariff system, improvement of logistics processes, quality assessment of provided services from the perspective of cargo shippers, development strategy of railway industry, and much more.

In addition to discussion of the most interesting topics, awarding ceremony of "Partner of Russian Railways, OJSC 2015" took place as a part of the Conference. The title was awarded to Serbian Railways as "Best International Partner", New Forwarding Company, OJSC became "Best Operator", while "Anship" sea shipping company won the nomination "Best Company in Intermodal Transportation". It is worth noting that it is not the first time that NFC, JSC becomes the winner of "Partner of Russian Railways" Award in the nomination "Best Operator of Railway Vehicles". Prior to this, NFC was acknowledged with this honorable award twice - in 2007 and 2010 respectively.
